Chocolate Barfi Recipe| Method 2

  Ingredients: 2 teaspoons ghee 2 cups powdered milk 2/3 cups sugar  2 tablespoons cocoa powder 1 cup milk (liquid) Methods:  1) In a heated frying pan or pot, add ghee, liquid milk and cocoa powder. Mix to combine over medium-to-high heat. 2) Then, add powdered milk and sugar. Stir and well combined, ensure there are no lumps. 3) Keep stirring the mixture for 15 minutes until mixture starts to leaves the pan side. 4) Transfer into a greased cake tin or plate, spread evenly and use a greased bowl base to smoothen. 5) Sprinkle 100's & 1000's and rest for 2 hours. 6) Cut into desired pieces and sizes & serve .  

Coconut Barfi Recipe by Kittyz Kitchens| Method 3

  Ingredients: 3 cups desiccated coconut 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup liquid milk Few drops of food coloring Methods:   1) In a frying pan over medium heat, add desiccated coconut, sugar, milk and food color. Mix all the ingredients 2) Ensure to mix the mixture for 15 minutes or until mixture starts to bind and leaves the sides. 3) Transfer into a greased cake tin, spread evenly and press with a bowl smeared with ghee. 4) Set aside for 2 hours and cut in desired shapes and sizes. *Coconut barfi is ready to serve....!!!  

Baked Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients: 2 cups milk 300ml thin cream 1/2 cup rice (washed) 1/3 cup sugar (may vary with your taste) 1 cinnamon quill or stick 1 teaspoon vanilla Pinch of nutmeg 2 teaspoons cardamom powder   Methods:   1) Preheat oven to 160°C. 2) In a pot, over medium heat, add milk, thin cream, rice, sugar, cinnamon quill, vanilla, nutmeg and cardamom powder.  3) Stir and cook until the mixture starts to simmer. The, remove cinnamon stick and transfer mixture into a baking tray. 4) Place into the oven and bake for an hour. Ensure to stir every 15 minutes. 5) Remove from oven, set aside for 10-15 minutes, before serving. *Serve for dessert, lunch, breakfast or even dinner.  

Besan Laddoos Recipe

Ingredients: 1/2 cup ghee 1 tablespoon ghee 2 cups beans 1 cup sugar (blended) Pinch of asafoetida (optional) 2 teaspoons cardamom powder Methods: 1) In a heated frying pan, over low heat, add ghee and besan. 2) Stir the mixture for 5 minutes and then add a tablespoon of ghee and 1 teaspoon cardamom powder. 3) Continue to stir the mixture for 20 minutes over low heat. 4) Transfer mixture into a mixing bowl. Let mixture cool for 15 minutes. 5) Then, stir properly and add sugar and cardamom powder.  6) Mix all the ingredients and take a decent amount of mixture and mould into ball-shaped laddoo. Rest laddoos for 1-2 hours to dry. *Serve laddoos for tea or for dessert.        

Coconut Barfi with Condensed Milk Recipe| Method 2

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of ghee 3 cups of desiccated coconut 1 cup of milk powder 1 can condensed milk (395g) 1/3 cup sugar Few drops of food colouring   Methods: 1) In a pot or frying pan add ghee. Then, add desiccated coconut. Mix to combine and stir over low heat until desiccated coconut turns light brown. 2) Add milk and sugar and mix to combine all the dry ingredients. 3) Make a well and add half a tin of condensed and gently stir.  4) Pour a few drops of your favourite food colouring and add the rest of the condensed milk. 5) Keep stirring until the mixture starts to leaves the frying pan and the mixture rolls together and stiffen. 6) Transfer mixture into a greased cake tin or plate. 7) Set aside overnight and cut into desired shapes and sizes, the next morning. *And serve....!!!!!     

Madras Halwa Recipe

Ingredients: 1/2 cup coconut (fresh or desiccated) 1 teaspoon cardamom powder 1 cup semolina  1 cup of sugar 1.25 cups ghee 2.5 cups water 1/4 cup chopped almond flakes  Methods: 1) In a pot over medium heat, add water and sugar and stir until sugar particles have dissolved and bring syrup to boil. 2) In a kadai/ frying pan, add ghee and semolina. Stir and cook semolina until light brown. 3) Then, add coconut, cardamom powder and almonds. Ensure to stir. 4) Add the prepared syrup and keep stirring until syrup is completely absorbed. Cool completely and serve as prasadam or for dessert.
